Over the summer, the UTA Central Library on campus underwent significant renovations to make the space more modern and efficient for students. Walking through the Library now, you can easily see the improvements made to the furniture and study areas on floors two through six.

New furniture options offer more variety for students, such as soft armchairs and study carrels, which provide individual workspaces. At the same time, large tables and movable whiteboards facilitate group study sessions and collaborative projects.

Modern individual study spaces have been added to all floors. These spaces offer a distraction-free and comfortable environment for students to focus on their studies. Flexible chairs and adjustable desks allow students to customize their study spaces as per their needs. Each study space is equipped with built-in power outlets and USB ports. Some individual study spaces also offer lockers for laptops and study materials.

Collaborative Workstation areas have long tables, comfortable seating, and large screens that can connect to personal devices. This setup is ideal for group projects and learning, allowing students to collaborate efficiently and share ideas. These workstations promote teamwork.

Students use the new furniture at the UTA Central Libraries to study during exams.

Personal Study Pods are designed for students who prefer complete isolation while studying. These pods are equipped with whiteboards around them and have comfortable seating. The built-in charging outlets ensure that students can work without interruption.

Each floor now offers upgraded computer systems for accessible access to high-speed internet, essential software, and reliable printers for research and assignments.

The library also has areas for relaxation, such as sofas and lounge chairs that are perfect for students to take a break between study sessions or while waiting for elevators. Students can talk, read, or take a moment to rest.

Our Library has undergone significant changes to enhance the student experience. There are now a lot of places to study alone or with friends, more computers on each floor, private study pods and comfortable relaxing areas.

All these changes show the care UTA Libraries has for students and its commitment to help them learn and succeed.
