This week’s Student Spotlight shines on Sri Harshitha Yanganti masters in computer science from Guntur, India.

As a member of the Organizational Excellence and Administration office, Sri Harshitha Yanganti works as an administrative assistant.

"My primary duty was to assist in the events such as organizing and executing activities like assisting with new hire paperwork. My favorite part of the job was talking with different people and getting to know them,” Sri Harshitha said.

Harshitha said her supervisors Antoinette Nelson, Ligia Munoz, and Iverlyn Peng have been very understanding and have taught her a lot.

"Sri Harshitha is a great Student Assistant at UTA Libraries. She is professional, enthusiastic, and dependable. Her work is always high quality, and she takes on extra responsibilities willingly. We are lucky to have her on our team," Ligia Munoz said.

Sri Harshitha completed her bachelor's degree in computer science in 2021 at RVR&JC University and will graduate with a master's degree in computer science in December at UTA. She said her goal is to become a software engineer at a good product-based company and dreams of working at Google after graduating from UTA.

Outside of her studies, Sri Harshitha loves exploring and visiting new restaurants and spending time with her parents. She enjoys taking her parents along for the ride on these foodie expeditions.

"I like the thrill of exploring new places. There is nothing quite like it,” she said. “I have always believed that the world is like this giant book, and every place you visit is a new chapter waiting to be read."
