As the fall semester begins, UTA Libraries offers one last chance before you hit the books with its annual Welcome Back to Campus event. The annual event will take place from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 19, in and outside the Central Library.

Heather Claney, manager of community events, stated there will be circus-themed activities and entertainment as a part of this year's celebration.

"Welcome Back is part of the Maverick Stampede series of activities to kick off the new semester," Heather said. "The event's focus is to welcome new and returning students to the library and showcase all the library offers."

As people explore the event, they can earn tickets by visiting various activity stations and participating in the festivities that can be redeemed for prizes. Some stations and entertainment will include jugglers, stilt walkers, hoops, spin art, temporary tattoos, silent films, gaming, and food like popcorn and cotton candy.

Make sure to mark your calendars for Saturday, Aug. 19, and join us for an incredible morning of events.

We're thrilled to have you as part of our campus community, and the Welcome Back event is the perfect way to start this fantastic journey. See you there.
