NextEngine 3D Scanner
The NextEngine 3D Scanner is the most precise 3D scanner available at the FabLab. It is capable of creating an extremely high resolution scan of any object 30 in. x 30 in. x 30 in. or smaller, and can automatically capture full scan passes via the motorized turntable.
Recommended for people who need very accurate 3D models. The quality of the model produced is mostly limited by how much time will be invested into making repeated scan passes and utilizing the cleanup tools inside of the ScanStudio software. Full-definition scans can take up to 2 hours to complete per-pass, with multiple passes normally needed.
