For my promotion to tenured associate professor, I selected to add to the library collection the seminal report of longitudinal research in which resilience theory was tested: the 1992 book, Overcoming the Odds, by Werner and Smith. I felt it fitting at this time to add the next research report of the next phase of this study, which identified protective factors in adverse contexts across the life span to middle adulthood: Journeys from Childhood to Midlife.
