Long range forecasting is one of the topics in my Global Supply Chain course. A 100 year forecast is indeed long. However, in this case the author is one of the co-founders of STRATFOR. For years, this consulting company has been used by corporations and countries (including our own) because they have a history of being correct. Thus this book (and its follow up The Next Decade) is one of the best opportunities my students have to peer into the future with a modicum of confidence.
