Honoree's Remarks

I give my graduate and undergraduate research students this book on their very first day in my research group.  Eloquence involves being fluent yet forcible, elegant yet persuasive.  It is an art that is unfortunately not often associated with science resulting in work that lacks conviction or persuasion.  This book provides readers with little experience in science eloquence a bit of a 'how to,' making it,  in my opinion, the ultimate communications manual for students in intersecting disciplines.  I hope that some students come across it over the years in UTA's library.
