To my students, past, present, and future, I hope to always create a space where you can be your authentic selves. I will forever be inspired by a quote from bell hooks in Teaching to Transgress: “To teach in a manner that respects and cares for the souls of our students is essential if we are to provide the necessary conditions where learning can most deeply and intimately begin.
