Growth of algebras and Gelfand-Kirillov dimension
Krause, G., Lenagan, T., & Vancliff, M. (2000). Growth of algebras and Gelfand-Kirillov dimension (Rev. ed.). Providence, R.I: American Mathematical Society.
This book is a delight to read as it not only provides a very thorough treatment of a fundamental concept, Gefand-Kirillov dimension, in non-commutative algebra, but it does so by taking the reader on an excursion through the myriad of topics within the world of modern abstract algebra. The end result is a book that quickly and gracefully introduces the student to many of the major areas of research study within non-commutative algebra, while simultanously teaching the student about one of the key players in the subject.
