Honoree's Remarks

I chose the book, "Gulp: Adventures on the Alimentary Canal" because the author, Mary Roach, does amazing science journalism on fascinating topics related to anatomy and physiology, which I teach here at UTA. She makes the material super fascinating, relatable, easy to digest (pun intended), and I find myself sharing her stories often with my students.
