By far, Approaches to Social Research is the best quantitative research methods book I have come across, offering well-rounded approaches to social scientific research. The book provides the real-world examples that many graduate students crave. Given how daunting and intimidating quantitative research methods can be for some graduate students, Approaches to Social Research presents the material in an unintimidating and highly comprehensible manner even for someone who is not interested in quantitative research methods to understand.
