Honoree's Remarks

I choose this book because it documents some presentations of the AAPG Hedberg Conference in 2010, the 1st shale meeting that I attended when I was funded with a DOE-RPSEA grant the same year to transition and expand my research and student education into nano-petrophysical studies related to the theoretical and applied aspects of oil-gas production behavior from shale formations. This transition comes with my later learning of 22 horizontal wells on UTA campus from a drilling pad started in the summer of 2008 when I came to UTA as a faculty, and of Barnett Shale in the Fort Worth Basin as the birth place for the ongoing shale revolution.
