This book is the bible of reinforcement learning, which is one of the most important techniques in many advanced AI systems today. Generations of researchers got into the field of reinforcement learning by its first edition published in 1998. This book brought me into the science of AI and inspired my research on intelligent robot control and smart machines. After 20 years, this book got its second edition which significantly expands the breadth and depth of the topics and brings everything up to date with today’s new developments in the field. It is a fantastic foundational book for anyone who wants to learn reinforcement learning and artificial intelligence.
