Honoree's Remarks

As a faculty and scholar in kinesiology, I believe in “Exercise is Medicine” focusing on the academic study of physical activity. This book introduces a comprehensive overview of the field of kinesiology and defines its focus on physical activity. It also provides a foundation for students to build on through further study and generates awareness of the long-standing and current issues (e.g., obesity, cardiovascular disease, neuromuscular disorder) that kinesiology professionals seek to understand and solve.

I coauthored one of the chapters, titled “Motor Behavior”. I hope this book inspires student to study physical activity and join in a kinesiology career that promotes physical activity for the benefit of all people
