Honoree's Remarks

My field of study, Finance, is often treated more as an art subject to superstition, emotional impulses, and established practices, rather than being subject to scientific inquiry and understanding.  In the book that I have selected, Isaac Asimov shows how even the most challenging subjects can be analyzed objectively and scientifically, while still preserving the superstitious, emotional, and historical beliefs that have evolved in society.
