Honoree's Remarks

From one source, I was exposed for the first time to W.E.B. DuBois’s (1901) The Spawn of Slavery, Blumstein’s (1982) research on racial sentencing disparities, and many other important works on race and criminal justice. These writings, along with one of the best graduate professors I know, changed the trajectory of my professional career and how I viewed my world.
