W. Timothy Coombs and Sherry J. Holladay are two of the most prolific and well-known scholars in the field of crisis communication. It was an honor for my research to be included in their edited collection of crisis communication scholarship. I had studied their work for years but never imagined being included in a volume alongside other noted crisis researchers. Additionally, having my research advance the theoretical aspect of crisis communication is something I know my mentor and dissertation chair, the late Dr. Michael Pfau, would be delighted to see.
