Honoree's Remarks

Near the end of my tenure clock, I gave birth to twin boys.  It was a shock to instantly change from a family of two (my husband and me) to a family of four. And, having no brothers of my own, it was intimidating to suddenly have three male family members living in my house.  Boys Should Be Boys is an incredible resource for me as I learn how to be a mom to my sons.  It helped me better understand the uniqueness of boys, and it provides straight-forward advice about how to raise healthy and happy sons who can handle life’s future challenges.  This book also helped me learn more about my husband and the little boy he must have been.  I read the book for the first time when my sons were infants, and I plan to re-read it on a regular basis as they grow up.
