Honoree's Remarks
The author of this book was on my Ph.D. dissertation committee and taught me Elasticity with the chosen book as the course textbook. The professor had a great influence on my academic career with his lecture on the theory of elasticity, which challenged me intellectually the most among all of my courses. This book is one of my favorite reference books. It sets on my desk now, and will continue there in my future career.
