The Gerald and Janis Saxon Endowment for Special Collections

In 2009, Gerald and Janis Saxon established this endowment to support the acquisition of archival materials and for the acquisition of materials to be added to the Manuscript Collection in UT Arlington Libraries Special Collections. Dr. Gerald Saxon is the past president of the Society of Southwest Archivists, Texas Map Society, and the Society for History of Discoveries. Gerald was Associate Director for UTA Special Collections from 2000-2004 and Dean of Libraries from 2004-2011. His leadership was integral to the growth of Special Collections. UTA Libraries thanks Gerald and Janis for their generous support and vision.
