Honoree's Remarks

A book on Forensic Death Investigation is certainly not something everyone would choose; however, every spring semester for many years I have had the opportunity to share this diverse topic with my classes of about 80 students. They always amaze me with their interest in this topic which is very important to me. There is currently a huge shortage of board-certified forensic pathologists in Texas and the U.S.; this has a potential negative impact on any individual who loses a loved one. One of my former students has become a board-certified forensic pathologist while another is a board-certified forensic anthropologist. Many of my former students are crime scene investigators or forensic laboratory analysts. All of these successful careers start with information in books, just like the one I have chosen. Thank you so much for placing this book into the UTA Library.
