A Critical Companion to the American Stage Musical will become a wonderful addition to the resources provided to our BFA in Musical Theatre majors in the Department of Theatre Arts. The book offers scholarly context for the study of this unique and wholly American art form that will serve to enhance our student’s practical training in singing, acting, and dancing. The author, Elizabeth Wollman, is a leader in the field of performance studies and musical theatre and I am thrilled to call her a research colleague.
