Text Message Notifications for ILLiad

UTA libraries will not charge for SMS or text notifications however message & data rates may apply depending on your cellphone plan.

ILL has added text messaging as an option for notifications. 

To opt in for text messaging three items need to be in place

access update profile through the profile menu

Log into your ILLiad account. At the top, click on Profile>Update profile.

Under ‘Change Personal Information’ fill in the ‘Mobile Phone’ number field with your mobile number. Use numbers only (no punctuation or symbols) (Number must be able to receive SMS/Text messages)

preferred electronic delivery dropdown box to select yes or no

The ‘Preferred Electronic Delivery if possible’ line needs to be set to “Yes”

check boxes selected to request text/SMS notifications

The ‘Notification Preferences’ (Text/SMS) boxes need to be checked for the notices you want sent via text.

Scroll down and click 'Submit Information'

To opt out of text notifications

access update profile through the profile menu

1) Log onto your ILLiad account

2) Click on Profile>

3) Then click on ‘Update Profile’ at the top of the page

None button de-selects all text message notifications

Under Account and/or Request Notification Preferences > Text/SMS, Click the 'None' button
